Company History
Coziness and heat for more than 150 years
The exhaustive preoccupation with the production of high-quality heating appliances has made Haas+Sohn one of the leading manufacturers of ovens in Europe.
The Beginnings
The label Haas+Sohn as well as the origin of the company date back to the merchants Wilhelm Ernst Haas senior and his son Wilhelm Ernst Haas Junior, who acquired the assembly section of the so-called Neuhoffnungshütte at Sinn (Hesse, Germany) in 1854. At the beginning, the core business was the iron foundry, the high-quality production of ovens moved in the focus of business operation not until later.
Already during the early phases of oven and stove production the company always has been on the pulse of the times. Correspondingly, the development went continuously well from the beginning. Constant enlargements of the plant as well as additional sites and factories followed.
Haas+Sohn in its present denotation exists since the 1970ies.
1957 beginning of the co-operation with the Austrian Max Reischl Group.
1980 foundation of Reischl-Theimer as general distributor for ovens and stoves for residential areas.
1992 the Max Reischl Group takes over Haas+Sohn and hence becomes a manufacturer of oil and coal-burning stoves. The next step was the development of Haas+Sohn and the successful expansion into Hungary and the Czech Republic.
