That depends on the room size. Since these are individual room heaters, the installation room is mainly heated. Ancillary rooms only conditionally.
The calculation is regulated in Ö-NORM M7521 or DIN 18893, whereby the space heating capacity depends very much on the building construction method. Low-energy or passive houses, for example, naturally require significantly less energy than buildings built years ago. As an estimate, experts reckon with approx. 60 watts of heating capacity per m3 of room air.
Example: Room with 8x6m and 2.5m room height = 8x6x2.5=120m3 x 60W = 7,200W or 7.2kW necessary heating power of the stove.
Overdimensioning the heater is not recommended, as excess heat must be dissipated by constant ventilation.
Recommended in the area of the fireplace. The max. distance to the fireplace should not exceed 3 metres pipe length. The ground must be level and stable (stoves weigh up to 400 kg!). On combustible floors, a glass or metal underlay is also required.
In principle, of course, the legal regulations must be observed! We therefore recommend consulting a specialist.
Please be sure to check with your chimney sweep or chimney sweep master.
For combustible floors such as carpet or wooden floors, an underlay plate is mandatory!
Yes, no problem with units up to 400 kg if the screed is 6 cm thick.
Max. 500 kg. Otherwise consult a structural engineer or place solid concrete under the area of the heater.
The safety distances are indicated on the type plate and must be observed.
The safety distances must only be observed for add-on walls made of reinforced concrete or wood.
A cooker must not connect directly to a fitted kitchen, a safety distance must be maintained. This distance is ensured with a spacer connection.
This depends on the fuel and the installation site. Clarification with the chimney sweep or chimney sweep master.
It is essential to carry out a leak test or clarification with a chimney sweep or master chimney sweep.
For solid fuels, a minimum cross-section of 15 cm. For oil and pellet stoves 12-14 cm.
That depends on the fuel used. For solid fuels, yes. Clarification with the chimney sweep or chimney sweep master.
The ideal height is 6-10 metres.
If possible, install a damper on stoves.
Use flue pipe in the room or place the connection as high as possible in the room Attention! Safety distance to the ceiling: 50 cm.
Only room heaters with a self-closing door! This point also depends on the local building regulations. Clarification with the chimney sweep or chimney sweep master.
A connection to the top would be ideal. This way you can improve the efficiency even more, as additional heat is given off via the flue pipe.
This depends on the height of the chimney. If the height is less than 4 m, place the connection as high as possible in the room. Attention! Safety distance to the ceiling: 50 cm. This point also depends on the heater. For direct connection to the rear, wait for delivery and take natural measurements!
The chimney draught should be at least 12 pascals (PA). For appliance-specific information, see the operating instructions.
The chimney draught can be measured by the chimney sweep or chimney sweep master.
